Customized Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, tutoring and officiating to support students through a personalized service that reflects your values and traditions. Cindy personally tutors students either in person or virtually with a focus on reading Hebrew, chanting Torah, learning the Shabbat service and doing a mitzvah project. Cindy will design the service at a location of your choice, bring musician(s), and supply or arrange for a Torah. Cindy’s goal is for students to feel confident and ready for their special day, deepening their connection to Judaism.
As your wedding officiant, Cindy will serve as the guide and facilitator throughout your ceremony. She will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your unique values, beliefs and love story and to ensure that you and your guests feel comfortable and engaged. Cindy’s ability to connect with couples and create a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony is what sets her apart. She will engage with you through the planning process to ensure that the most important day of your lives is a memorable experience for everyone involved.
A Jewish baby naming is an important milestone ceremony in which a baby is given their Hebrew name and welcomed into Jewish life. Cindy will work with your family to create a service that reflects your customs and values. The ceremony can include many different rituals, songs and prayers but its primary purpose is to celebrate the birth of your child and to announce their name and its meaning to your family and friends.
Cindy will work with your family to create a ceremony centered in Jewish tradition that honors and commemorates the life of your loved one. Your family and community might gather at the funeral home, cemetery or private home. Cindy will officiate the service and ensure that family and friends are able to share their memories/stories to honor the memory of the deceased.
Cindy works with families from across the spectrum of Jewish denominations. Families may not be members of a synagogue or may be seeking additional support for their child who is enrolled in a religious school program. Cindy will work with you to develop a curriculum tailored to your child. Cindy works with students of all ages and provides specialized programming for students with learning differences.
Cindy has officiated Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s at locations across the United States and abroad. If your family is planning a destination event, Cindy will be there to officiate the ceremony and work with you to plan all of the religious aspects of the special day, including designing the service and identifying musical accompaniment and a Torah for the service.
